14 players left at Chiefs following a massive clean-up

Kaizer Chiefs has only 14 players left in their fold.

This comes after a massive clean-up at Naturena that saw the team parting ways with 20 players as they seek to rebuild their squad after finishing a season empty handed.

It is rumoured that a further bombshell will be dropped at a planned press briefing that could see more of the 14 players leaving the Soweto giants.

“This is not a very joyous moment at Chiefs, especially concerning a matter at hand. My book has about 34 players so this will be about 14 players left at the club,” said Maphosa.

“There will be players that are under study and those that are under development contract. Further announcement will be made including the press conference anticipated later on during the months of June,” he said.

A statement on Chiefs official website said: “Siyanda Xulu is put on transfer, while seasoned campaigners Morgan Gould and Siboniso Gaxa’s contracts will expire at the end of June and will not be renewed.”
